2017 BPS Payments - Status

And I'll firmly distance myself from any offensive remarks aimed at the staff of the RPA. They work hard under difficult circumstances - often the butt of farmer frustration and still trying to unpick the mess left behind in the IT meltdown in 2015 which was not the fault of the RPA. They need to be given more resource.

Who do you blame for the 2015 meltdown then? And what penalty did they receive?

Had the email yesterday being a bit vague about being very busy and checking against mid tier or something . Basically delay because a while back had a question about one field that we rent as a grass let that we have never claimed on . Rectify the query and obviously get put in a pile as pay late!

They seem to be working this week, we went to final checking yesterday morning and preparing for payment yesterday afternoon. Don't know how long it will take to land in the bank what with weekend and bank holiday though!

Yes we had ours yesterday which did surprise me especially as they had sent a letter last week seeming to quibble about some new ground we rent and bought payments for, when actually everything was fine with the field sizes. They talked in circles and seem to like wasting paper! What % extra are you getting this year compared to last? Ours is about 10% more with the weaker pound.

Still on claim validation as expected, but my current claim (2017) has now moved from under the “apply for BPS tab” to being in the “previous claims tab”. Any previous claims (2016) have disappeared completely !.

Worth rechecking your claim status if no payments have appeared. Our claim was on "Preparing for payment" on 1 December and still hasn't appeared. Rechecked online and the status has reverted to "Claim validation". Rang up the RPA who weren't able to offer anything useful.

Still claim validation here  Just spoke to someone at RPA who was next to effing useless, couldn't tell me anything about my claim, couldn't put me through to anyone who could tell me anything about my claim either. All the soapy C nut wanted to tell me was that they had already paid over 90% of farmers, didn't seem overly impressed when I told him that I thought that they were a incompetent shower of ............

Your not the only one , feking useless , when I asked when do we expect the rest of last years let alone this years she told me 2017 claim takes president over any outstanding 2016 issues , 90% been paid my arse , why do we put up with year after year of this sh1t , why don't the powers that be actually do something rather than p?ssing about.

Not sure THEIR claim of 90% payment reflects anything near TFF experience. Maybe they have lost several Farmers from their data base!. It appears that there is considerably more than 10% that have NOT been paid ! :scratchhead:

I guess by your last comment, you have been dropped to the back of the queue now.........just behind me !
