Field Operations Team 2017.jpg

Tri Counties Biogas Ltd are currently recruiting the Field Operations Team for the 2017 harvest season.

Handling almost 100,000 tonnes of feedstock each year for one of Europe's largest Biogas Plants Yelspa Ltd, Tri Counties Biogas are searching for hard working, enthusiastic, good humoured, safe machine operators.

Employment will begin in June 2017 for whole crop silage harvest and end by mid November 2017 after maize harvest but potential longer term employment may be possible. Tri Counties Biogas harvests approximately 3500ha each year using one John Deere 8800i & one 8600i Self Propelled Forage Harvesters supported by a fleet of tractors and trailers for carting and ensiling.

In addition to the harvesting team we operate a fleet of 10 Mercedes lorries with bulk trailers or tankers. This team collects the crop all year round delivering it to the Biogas Plant and also transports liquid digestate to our Veenhuis tankers for handling and spreading / incorporation of the digestate.

The harvest must be completed when the crop is at the right growth stage which means potentially long hours but you will have the opportunity to see a lot of southern England while working in an excellent team with modern machinery.

Accommodation is provided and will be onsite close to Andover in Hampshire using ‘container / temporary accommodation’ meaning modern, quality and clean living space is always close to work.

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to work in Southern England in a new and exciting area of agriculture and sustainable farming.
