Managed to sneak in and do the spring wheat yesterday at about 20%. All baled up too. Just the beans left which aren't really ripe but I would like to have them in by first week of October at the latest. We can get a lot of salt damage in a bad winter so I want decent stands of wheat for the winter.

I'm sooo glad I have my own drier, makes life easier and grain dried straight away seems to work a lot better than piling it up for a week or so and then doing it

Whatever works on the land. If cattle sink most of the year then.................don't do cattle. I don't because I don't have any sheds at the mo. It's easy. You just don't do it. Then they don't sink. Get something that won't sink.

Edit, just looked at new forecast 10 days of mid 20s .Not much dew after Friday morning.
Getting the combine out for Grass seeds tomorrow, then the Tournesol.
Kids have been sunbathing by the pool this afternoon.

What do you do for drying them rog? I always heard they are very good for setting batch driers on fire. Are they for selling or you use them in some way in a ration? I promise myself I will have some sunflowers before I'm done, look so nice And a proper break to go back to wheat /trit the next year I assume.

A disaster , it's not fit to do anything here , feel sorry for anyone with cereals still to cut.
Just grass to bale for us which will be dumped in a pit hole '
Need a week of dry to even consider sowing .
