how many kg/ acre/ha of clover seed , and are you aiming on cutting it or grazing it, thinking the idea may be useful for lambs in the autumn, cheers

Been advised to go at 3kg/acre. Found red clover can take over the ley. 6kg/acre is the stuff of salesmens dreams.

I think our friends across the Irish Sea sometimes kill two birds with one stone and chuck clover seed in with the slurry tanker.

Is it just us or yields really heavy so far? Contractors Mower man says never seen crops so thick. What’s situation for others as we’ve been offered hay ground to make and sell. Not so clever if low demand this year.

Seemed to have had a decent cut here. Would normally expect to fit second cut in this pit as well.

First of the grass cut a fortnight this evening. It's still really struggling to green up and get going again. Combination of a surprisingly hard stubble, cold, and dry. Fertiliser and slurry all on in dry conditions. There'll be large nitrogen losses on the slurry probably, but hopefully the little bit of moisture will have helped to melt the fertiliser in. Really needs a nights rain to put the fertiliser to work. Times really passing by now in this the shortest cutting interval of the year.
