wishing you all a better 2021...
first time in the 31 years I've been here that haven't been downtown to the market square celebrating with fireworks and the things that go with new year's eve... Germany is in lockdown... no gathering of more than 5 people from 2 households... 2100-0500 curfew... no public alcohol... no fireworks...
minimum 500 in fines...

nothing else fits... granddad taking grandkids home.... out past 2100... 500 bucks... minister president of Bavaria encouraging folks to report violations...
we had to do 3 Christmas dinners in order to spend time with three kids (all grown and have own living quarters )
folks seem comfortable with the control... makes it even more scary....

Most of the country here is In tier4 or will be by next week
so not alot different (pretty draconian)to be honest but hardly comparable
to Nazism which is still a sore subject to many.
