Could anyone help me with some figures please? Can’t find an updated John Nix book representing current pricing.
Looking for:

Cost per ha of spraying? (Fuel, 1 pass, labour)
Cost of glyphosate/ha?
Cost of a 1 pass min till cultivation per ha?
Cost of direct drilling per ha?

Also anyone have an idea of average combine losses, I know they vary but is it roughly 10%, 20%?

appreciate the help!

Ok nope, still out! More digging it seems 1% is acceptable, my bad ☝️🙈 1 question answered
Sub 1%. 0.5% is ideal target.
1% of 4t/acre is 40kg/acre.
0.5% of 4t/acre is 20kg/acre.

I know plenty who sow at near 40kg/acre with winter wheat sown early.

0.5% of 2t/acre OSR is 10kg/acre, normal sowing being around 2kg/acre, no wonder lines are so thick behind combines 👍🏻

Cost per ha of spraying? (Fuel, 1 pass, labour) See the NAAC prices as a guide. Nix used to have the Farmer's Own Cost level which is circa 20% less than NAAC as you're not building in bad debt, profit margins etc depending on how you are looking at this.
Cost of glyphosate/ha? 360 g/litre is around £150/20 litres, so £7.50/litre
Cost of a 1 pass min till cultivation per ha? How long is a piece of string? How deep? Soil type? You vary from £15/ha for a light pass to £55/ha+ for a deep tillage train or ploughing.
Cost of direct drilling per ha? Contractor or own? £15-45/ha
