Anyone had the same? Dpf clogging up partly due to not enough long journeys? Seems to be more than just ours struggling has anyone had similar and how did you solve it? Thanks

I don't own anything new enough to have dpf but there's loads of additives for sale to Chuck in the tank to help prevent it happening.

Drive 100 miles on a motorway in a gear to obtain a constant 3000 rpm. Might save you a few hundred or more quid???
Remove and re-map is the long term solution .

Have DPF issues with my Dmax. Been taken off and stripped out. Was fine for a short while. Then had to service early as kept dumping diesel in the with oil( emptied total of 15 litres in sump).
But I think it makes a difference staying out of supermarket fuel, a good drop of supreme seems to burn a bit hotter??

Wynn's,stp, redex etc all do dpf cleaner, but like I said,I don't have the problem. Google " dpf cleaner"
Best thing for dpf is a bit of right foot. Basically buying a diesel engine pushing out towards 200hp and then fannying about trying to get small hatchback mpg out of them is just choking them on their own soot. Spend a bit more on fuel and less on repair bills long term is ur best option.

No doubt. The ops case sounds like short trips are the problem

69 plate one here. Done 27000 miles and been in 4 times due to dpf and emission issues needed a new sensor and dpf filter last time. It does its fair share of short journeys but also does quite a few long ones and does its fair share of towing as well. Thought we'd got it sorted the previous time with a software upgrade which said should have cured it.
Think I'll run it until warranty is about to expire and cash it in
