Pedigree breeders, selling and buying vastly overpriced animals, can get into awful difficulties regarding taxation.

Do you save any tax by buying a very expensive animal. It goes down in your closing valuation at the same price.
Unless it dies and you haven;t got it insured - in which case you're quids (or gns) in.
Just use the "Herd Basis"

This bull was sold I think in 1974 for £17000 gns. Wonder what that would be worth today. Semen still available and being used - wish I could get my hands on some!

Its a real credit to the limousin breed how theyve improved so much....they have great conformation now....15 or 20 years ago they all had hind quarters like an ang....i mean poor hind quarters!
