Growth up
Employment up
Foreign investment up
Exports to EU up .
According to the office for budget accountability
Non EU exports have dropped from £88 billion to £82 billion
EU exports have dropped from £94Billion to £92 Billion since 2016
however services have risen NON EU £78Billion to £95billion
and EU £78 billion to 89Billion
So manufacturing has been hit while the city is the big winner

As Mitford said and planned. Think his words were car manufacturing and agriculture would be lost but were irrelevant.

The other day an ekectioneering leaflet came through my door from the Lib dem candidate. Now that act has to be aplauded and showed rare effort and initiative. The front page was largely about Anglian Water discharging sewage into the wash and would appeal to a large percentage of the local electorate. The back page was anti Wash barrage and pro net zero thus cosying up to the Greens. This was swiftly followed by brief critcism of the voting system and a final comment about how we should have closer trading ties with Europe.
That did it for me. Here is a party with roots which enjoyed a huge share of power through centuries and lost their share to Labour upon its formation. No bleating while first past the post suited them prior to that. Close trading ties with Europe existed but fell off a cliff when the EEC morphed into the EU and the Libdem were the only party united in their approach in embracing the European dream.
There was no mention of the issues which are at the forefront of most people`s concerns. I could vote Libdem but their old colours are showing through.
