I note there is a ex demo 6m drill for sale on the adds section for £108,700 odd, have I missed something or is that seriously the price for a trendy 6m direct drill?? How are these drill makers etc going to survive when SFP goes? The world has gone mad
I’m afraid that’s what they appear to cost these days mad or not. Think of the saving in DD v conventional or even min till establishment. This is partly what is in the “value” of DD’s I guess

Yes, I do understand that. I'm hoping that should make my old MF130 Direct drill worth a fair bit more now then!!!
At that sort of money, it's surely time to start building your own, not exactly rocket science

Have you seen the price rises on ‘simple’ farm machinery, never mind anything with complex engineering.
Just had a price for a fairly simple muck spreader today - £34,000, the similar sized old one was less than half that 8 years since.

Many have done. This is where Claydon, Mzuri, Triton have all come from and many others too. Apart from latest gizmos I’m sure your MF would establish your crops for a low cost wouldn’t it?

If you are a big enough farm to justify £100 grand on a drill, would you not want a bigger drill? 8 or 12m? Have seen a 2013 Claydon 4m drill for sale and that is up for £34000. Crazy prices. I think my Tineseeder is worth more than we paid for it if that is the price of drills!
