We bought a new genny instead it was cheaper than the connection fee alone before running cable through the yard

I’m running a 20tph and it’s using 80amps per phase

Cover the roof in panels, loads of battery storage, would reduce your requirements massively, on a sunny day.

Good place to start is add up the Kw ratings on all the motor plates.

My experience of drying grain is that you do not do it in sunny weather.
if you want reliable power solar is not for you.

We have a Kentra 15t per hour dryer. All the elevators are 30tph. Most of the time the filling ones are running empty and the emptying ones are only half full at best. l was talking to a man yesterday about putting inverters on some motors to slow them down. This could also save some power. On a fan he said reducing the speed by 10% would save 20% power and reduce the fan 20% would save 50% power.

Jobs a non starter, needs a new transformer. Without that it was looking like £2k all in

Transformers are not that much unless it is mega. Just seen a job underground 350 metres new 350 amp transformer and 2 connections for about 50k

Saw a guy burning straw and blowing the heat under the floor totally different idea I know but just a thought. Genny looks like the only other option

we use a genny for ours place it near the air inlet to the drier to allow heat from genny to enter drier save a bit of money
