any comments?
Depends what you've got immediately before the draft gate - the first one looks like it incorporates a stop gate (which you need, in some form or other.)
We don't need a stop gate as our 3-way is on the end of the Combi Clamp which acts as our stop gate.

I haven't seen the McV in RL, but I like the Modulamb one. Swings nicely.

Also put the stop gate on in front of it sometimes, to reduce operator error as much as anything, and because sometimes need more than 3 options.

Planning in putting it right after the weigh crate. But it’s an IAE crate do the crate door had to swing and clear it to let lambs out of the crate.

A 3 way your race/handling system can’t be against a wall so limits space in a yard/shed. My race is against a wall as is the drafter, straight on down a footbath or drafted off round a curved panel into another pen or up into the combi clamp (I take 1 curved panel off to fill the pen behind the combi clamp) if they go up to the combi clamp there’s 3 way there aswell.

Is it easier to have a race with two shedding doors at staggered locations to shed three ways. I’ve used one like this and it’s easier than what you are offered here. It will fry your brain after a while.

could make one for a lot less that 3oo , make the 2 side ones solid cladding and a completely separate one as a race stop gate which is better to be weldmesh,ir those combined ones are clumsy in use ir , drafting needs nimble speed not humpy clumpy.

Funny enough. I’m just sketching that out as had the same thoughts.

Modulamb do just a hurdle at 1.8m that might work better.

If it was me I would put the two doors where you can reach both at the same time, so not far apart at all maybe 1m 1.5m don’t know why but I think it will be easier

I have to admit I’m leaning that way. They are nice and simple do nothing to go wrong with them and also more flexible.

There’s one at the mart like that and I can use it no bother. The one I have sheds two ways and stops at the right hand and sheds one way at the left hand it’s a pain in the arse

We bought a Prattley 3 way manual weigh crate and it's been one of the best things we've ever purchased. I know it's more money but you will find it so much easier to weigh and draft at the same time. We can weigh and draft 3 ways over 500 lambs per hour. Depends on how many you're doing.

The op’s only just upgraded his weigher to electronic, so maybe unwilling to buy a new one just yet?;)

I’d agree though, one of the various drafting weigh crates would be faster & easier to use than any separate drafting equipment (I tie an old Poldenvale 2 way drafting gate in front of my IAE electronic pig weigher).

I made two 6ft hurdles with a gate on each that opened inward and had them opposite each other worked perfect when connected to a race frame front and back, One is still here £40 if anyone want it

I need to invest in a 3 way drafting gate.

Dont need anything fancy so have narrowed it down to the IAE one:

https://mcveighparker.com/three-way-drafting-gate

Or the modulamb one:

http://www.modulamb.com/handequipmenteng.html

IAE is £332.43 from MP and Modulamb one is £385 delivered direct from them.

Anyone used either, any comments?

Other options?
It looks like the Modulamb one has no stops to stop the gate swinging out only the catch at the top and that could be a fiddle about at speed
