Looking For Work 30 year old joiner looking for a route into arable work in or around East Yorkshire.

Hello,

As the title suggests I’m looking to try and gain full time employment or even weekend work within the arable side of farming.

I have been seeking a career change for some time now and have my sights set on a switch to agriculture. To a lot of people this may seem strange or even stupid but it’s genuine.
Although I’ve had opportunities to speak to current farmers and personnel working alongside the industry, I’m yet to find a starting point.

I have worked as a semi skilled joiner for the past thirteen years on construction sites across the UK. Currently I’m working for a Joinery manufacturing company producing door-sets for modular builds around the country.

I would like to stress that I'm giving up on a 13 year career in construction to try and get a job in agriculture, so I would be coming into a new job eager and committed to learn as much as possible. I know for a fact that I would be an honest, reliable and hard working employee if given the chance.

I'm looking for full time work but would also jump at the opportunity for any weekend work to gain experience. Any advice would also be welcomed. I understand with the current circumstances due to coronavirus my options may be very limited.

I'm based in East Yorkshire, but I can drive so would be willing to travel as long as it was financially possible.

If anyone would like a copy of my CV feel free to ask and I can email one across.

Many thanks again for taking the time to read my post.
