3rd drill ?

The issue with a wider drill needing more power /traction is slopes
If you have gentle slopes and need power in only a few fields just drive slower up hill

The size of the hopper when full also requires power
My 9 m gd on a flattish field only needs a 200 hp up hill with a full hopper 330 and weight for traction

As for third drill From a learning curve and management perspective another 750 Drill more acres when conditions are optimum no pressure to go because the drill will go but soil conditions are not quite right

Serious question Clive. With looking that far ahead. Are you already planning and practising to farm without glypho?
I know some that are... very intersteing people too

We used to run a 9m Dale on the same HP, was a good bit of kit that grew good crops, but it did nothing the uld CO conversion does cheaper
Really? It has unique depth control on each seeder, and the fertilizer placement is just after the "book". CO drills is on a stiff frame, and seed placement can easily be too deep.

@Clive which of your two drills do you prefer? Or in other words, which is better?
Or do they both have a place in your system.

Without doubt the 750a. - much more versatile, better consolidation etc

The co is better fit OSR though and wheat after oats

With row cleaners now fitted to the 750 I think it will be even better still

Is this true? Interesting.

Is the set up and build quality the same? How do they compare on price?
In general yes, but in details definitely not.
Avatar build quality is exelent. And price is about the same, but with Avatar you get combi drill, with 5000L seed/fert box and more up do date drill for the money.
