Good Friday 30-3-18

A rather unsettled day especially across England and Wales as low pressure brings a risk of rain or showers, at times, throughout the day with locally heavy rain , hail & thunder possible in places too and perhaps with some sleet or wet snow across the Pennines. Drier across Scotland but with some wintry showers possible. on the cold side too, perhaps with the exception of the far south. Highs 7C in the north, 10C in the south 45/50F

More rain or showers for many areas, perhaps moving northwards through the day. Heavy rain or showers looks set to across England, Wales and Ireland and with temps near freezing with the rain falling as sleet or snow which may develop across N Wales, perhaps the Midlands and N England later in the day. Scotland is likely to stay mostly dry and bright through the day. A rather cold day for the start of April, especially away from the far south, highs 3C to 8C. 37/46F
