Any opinions and user experiences of the following makes as looking to upgrade from a Kuhn/Accord 3m Suffolk coulter machine. Wanting disc coulters this time around.

There can be a massive weight difference depending on the setup!
Personally I’d be looking at horsch, I can put seed in the ground when none of the neighbours can drill with there setups, both trailed and combi units.
Not that it’s always a good thing but it does allow more drilling opportunities, especially when your fighting the weather.
Mines 4m kv power harrow and horsch pronto coulters, front hopper and press keeps the tractor well balanced.

I’m a big fan of amazone drills.I’ve drilled into some dreadful conditions this year and a lot looks ok all things considered.all drills will block in certain conditions.main issue with my combination is lack of space between wedge ring roller and coulter bar which does fill with soil but it’s very rare that it will stop it working.big pain in the arse cutting it out with a pressure washer as it’s impossible to get a spade or scraper in there

As mentioned above you must also look at a Horsch another would be an alpego both come into there own in marginal conditions. Spud has a Pottinger which thinks a great deal of. Just as mentioned above have a look at weight and how physically big tractor you have to wagon it as weights vary a lot.

For some reason the only amazone combi around here (6m on a 370hp tractor) does a poor job compared to the multitude of Kuhn/Accord setups. Admittedly the Kuhn's are all 3 and 4m versions so on lighter tractors but the amazone tractor is half track so is spreading the weight.
It looks over worked to be honest so the ground is more pudding like. They don't hang about moving at around 6km/h so its not the fact they are leaving the soil in the machine for to long. But literally since they had it changing from a vaderstad their crops have got worse and there are so many more bare patches which is making their grass weed problem far worse. I think it'll be down the road shortly.

Agree the drill is good but the power harrow is useless among stoney ground

Ey very good machine, quite heavy but most of the disc drills are, easy to set up and copes well in the wet with a couple of tweaks, only done 1 season with it so early to find out any problems yet
