Well, we seem to be subject to extremes these days and its not good at all for us.

All spring cold, now roasting. Does not make life easy. Nor does weather forecasters who refer to excessive heat as "a lovely weekend". But that's the mentality generally. Disconnected from food production, total lack of intelligent understanding of any other than a beer and a barby. Maybe I am taking it all too seriously.

It's great, 2 BBQ this weekend, everything looking well at the moment. Considering how things looked on the 1st march, things could look a lot worse.

Heat getting a little serious now .The trouble is some parts never had any of that rain back in june ! 6mm the only amount to do any good .Now a month on and into third hot week with no rain for this month ! After the cold late spring dry cool may with only 4 inches since april . I now last year was crap with 6 inches april ,june ,july and so on. We could have done with an average year .Now if stays dry could be heading for 1976 levels in south !!

In the damp areas yes they are, but in some areas the dry is now affecting silage yields for second and probably third cuts. The country will need every bit of extra forage for the coming winter and its hard to see it being available, but for some of the areas badly affected by the wet and cold in April and May this weather must be just the tonic!

Silage and hay finished and we are going to Snowdonia,Beddgelert camping this weekend.

Its just great to have weather to finish work and have some time off with kids and family.

We have brought this break forward from the end of next week as the weather seems a little less certain then.

This weather is a tonic definitely.(y)
