Depreciation much bigger problem than initial cost.

my life mantra ! really don't care what the new price is, all I care about is what its going to cost me to own

Its depreciation that puts me of new fastrac, they have never been great from new but once the initial hit has been taken by 1st owner they get a lot more reasonable it seems. I think something with 2-3000hrs circa maybe 70-80k by next spring wouldn't cost a fortune for the next 5 years ??

Tis always a bit of a gamble but id say the 70-80k will depreciate a lot less and still be a mighty fine machine, i dont think the new ones will depreciate more or less than any other tractor tho. Depriciation heading towards a tenner an hour OR MORE is hardly worth bothering with might as well get a contractor in.

I've got just under 1000hrs on my 2018 4220.
I work in a 50k radius of my base .
No problems at all and very happy with it,perfect for my mowing business.
I would buy another for the comfort on the road.
