And risk the wrath of an antipodean valtra fan, a spaniel what likes wearing hats and some bloke who invented an over sized pencil sharpener

Good idea/bad idea?
The antipodean has a sense of humour. And only comes out at night. He does live in a world that's upside down remember:eek: the other two well dunno.

Jfdi it will be ok(y) If anyone starts arguing just :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: it off

That's a good looking low loader, what make is it? We are looking for a handy one for the 6 ton digger we just bought

Its home made, it was a skip trailer, the sort you swing another skip on and tow behind the lorry

Mate of mine added 6ft on the front, a beavertail at the back, and 6" extensions on each side

Only downside is the ramps, they havent got any rams or springs on, and its as much as one person can do to lift them up!!!

Looks well made, seems to sit nice and level on tractor

It sits too level tbh, when its unloaded its perfectly balanced, and rattles about on the tractor drawbar, Just needed another 100kg at the front to make it sit on the hook more

For something cobbled up from bits of metal and a mig in the workshop, it does a good job, they even put a 8 ton steam roller on it once!!

Ive now got this image in my head of when Top gear did that thing where the bolted 2 cars roof to roof and then lowered the driver in upside down from the top

would that work with a valtra....it might be better to drive upside down, who knows

Digger is abit wide, not much of the tracks sit on the trailer. Plus low loader is far handier and safer
How wide is the digger? Is the trailer not 8 ft wide? I used to move a 6 tonner in a tipping trailer, that fitted just inside the sides, far handier than a low loader. As soon as unloaded tipping trailer was on site ready to roll

@John 1594 I cannot recommend enough the "ignore" button. there was a forum member on here called Hedge hunter [NOT at all to be confused with hurdle bunter] who was an utter troll, ignorant without realising, unable to change his mind and not capable of learning. All he did was upset people and continue to troll and upset people that I cared about. Once I put him on ignore the pain went away, I could chose to look at his posts if I felt inclined, which I rarely did - and the pain stopped.

You are an expert in your field, you have more desire to rise to a challenge than I [nothing to be proud of] but should get some enjoyment from this place not pain.

Ignore is a button that will give you peace and your tormentors pain as you simply cease to rise to their taunts because you don't see them, it is only one click away and well worth it.

My advice JFDI.

It would be a lot simpler all round if the "selected" group of posters just grew up i think

I have considered the ignore button on many occasions, but there nothing worse that knowing your being talked about and not being able to see it
