The 18 months ( or whatever ) is the minimum period for the contract. There would be a penalty to pay if you cancelled early.I’m just out of contract with my EE 4gee home router package
The Three unlimited deal keeps varying. mine is £20 a month for 24 months. Their latest offer is £22.00 a month but half price for the first 6 months, which would have been slightly cheaper

I use mine in a 4G router for unlimited broadband and no issues yet.
What's your usage ?
I was just out of contract ; I was paying £60 for 200gb . I then gave them 30 days notice the best offer I got was to continue on the same for £45.There were other options for less gb and money but nothing that was very brilliant. The 18 months ( or whatever ) is the minimum period for the contract. Once the initial period is over the contract rolls on..Then you can leave any time with (probably ) 1 months notice
What set up have you got please? The Three unlimited deal keeps varying. mine is £20 a month for 24 months. Their latest offer is £22.00 a month but half price for the first 6 months, which would have been slightly cheaper overall

I use mine in a 4G router and external aerial for unlimited broadband and no issues yet with Broadband speed upto 70Mbs from a mast 8 miles away in rural Wales.
Forgive me if this is stupid but I forgot, trying Speedtest and was around 2.5-3 download in the house before remembering to switch off WiFi immediate increase to 18+mbps, also 3 phones never used to work on any other network, are 3 routers the same or does unlocking 3phones now let them work on other networks.I’m just out of contract with my EE 4gee home router package and the deals were rubbish that they offered me . So I have quit , got the unlock code for the router; does anyone know whether the new Vodafone unlimited sims will work in a router? I am with Vodafone with my phone , did a speed test ( the mast is in my neighbours field 400 meter away) only about 4mbps! Do they throttle the speed ? I know the new sims have 3 different unlimited plans at different prices depending on speed so they obviously have the capability
I know what you mean but yes I had switched off WiFi. The upshot was I rang Vodafone and it is a problem with my local mast, apparently they are coming second week in August.Forgive me if this is stupid but I forgot, trying Speedtest and was around 2.5-3 download in the house before remembering to switch off WiFi immediate increase to 18+mbps, also 3 phones never used to work on any other network, are 3 routers the same or does unlocking 3phones now let them work on other networks.
The gigacube is still a router though , and I think it still needs a power source. You can get an Huawel integrated smart speaker router Alexa from Three on a good deal if that’s the thing you are after. But I don’t want them listening to me more than they probably are already! As an alternative to three's unlimited 4g home broadband, Has anybody got Vodafone's unlimited 4g broadband £50/month on 18 month contract ?
I know you can get unlimited phone sim for less but don't want restricting by using it in a router.
GigaCube – the alternative to home broadband from Vodafone
GigaCube from Vodafone, the mobile internet solution that harnesses Vodafone’s 4G network to give you WiFi for up to 20 devices. Choose a data allowance that works for you, then simply plug and play.www.vodafone.co.uk
Thanks. I realise that the gigacube is a router. More asking if anyone was on the vodafone deal and whether there were any catches as in restrictions, hidden costs etc.The gigacube is still a router though , and I think it still needs a power source. As the 5G deployment rolls on now in later part of 2019 and early part of 2020, I would say there will be more and more carriers announcing “unlimited” packages.Thanks. My problem is that at the farm house I can only get three's signal in 3g and not 4g (using a poynting external antenna) giving around 10mbs download. With Vodafone or EE on the same system I can get 50 ISH, so would suit better even though more expensive.
Problem with some of the phone unlimited sims, they dont allow you to use them in a 4g router due to fair usage policy etc.
