we’re in Durham
And I would recommend a local Agricultural Secretary service
They’d be cheaper than a Land Agent

Vicky Anderson Training in North Yorkshire would be ideal but she’s probably too far for you

I have an Excel spreadsheet with 12 month columns across the top So Sept through to August as I’m arable and that suits my crop year
then down the side all the “stuff” that I buy or sell. Which corresponds with the accountants accounts
Ie
Wages
Paye
Farm diesel
Tractor repairs
Water
Electric
Bank commission. Etc etc

then each monthly column has a Budget column and an actual column
And I project what the 24 months costs will be
And at the end of every month I put in actual figures

so this is a rolling cash flow which shows actual past performance and projected future performance

By using Excel formulas it’s easy to make the actual month total recalculate all the future budget totals. So I know exactly where my cash flow pinchpoints will be and where I need to sell grain to mitigate that

Use a spreadsheet. Do a forward cash flow. I’d use my own previous few years accounts rather than Nix. Then try one bank , then another. They are fickle. One didn’t want to know us. Another welcomed us. We never borrowed anything in the end which probably peed them off.

Hello, I’m looking for some advise/help

does anyone provide a service that can help create a Business plan for a tenancy. We are current young farmers farming 2 small bft but looking to progress futher. We currently have 55 suckers, a small flock of sheep, a few pigs we have about 50 acres plus abit of arable ground. We plan to expand but need some guidance.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated, thankyou!
Hi, I am a farm business consultant, business plans for rent tenders are very farm specific so ideally you need to find a farm you want then the business plan is constructed. Normal is 3 years budgets and cash flows which can also be used to obtain bank borrowing if needed. Happy to have a chat if needed. Have a look at our website for more info and to get in touch - www.theandersonscentre.co.uk thanks, Edward.
