5/8"-11 screw

Can anyone suggest where either screw or a plate and screw with the above thread could be got?

Might be wanted for mounting a Reach RS2 on a tractor. Emlid do have a 6" "pole" that might work, but I am feeling it looks a bit delicate.

Do any of the antennas have 5/8 threaded sockets on them??

What kind of equipment are you using with the RS2?

As yet, nothing! Going on order later this week. :) I will use it with NTRIP and have been very kindly offered access to a base station by a forum member. The reason for going with the RS2 (apart from glowing recommendations!) is the turnkey single unit setup, that is robust and weatherproof and will use LORA or NTRIP out of the box without a big learning curve... My days of getting up to speed on new tech have faded a bit now... Just want it to work!!

The option to use a bespoke system built for me, or maybe Reach M2+ appealed a lot, as it could be located in a cab and use an external aerial, but when I gave some real thought as to what else I can get out of a unit, the Reach won out, as it will also be used for survey work by my daughter, here on the farm. Slap it on a pole, BT across to her software, and away she can go.

At present, I am using a GarminGlo which works...ish, with Field Navigator (Android) app. Too many locations on the farm where it struggles though, so not really quite there for spraying.

My intention is to probably use the Fieldbee software, which has the ability to work with their autosteer system, doing it slowly-slowly and getting grants to pay for some of the hardware and software. Still pondering which software to use though.... All recommendations will be appreciated ;) The ability to have crop recording software as well as a driving aid in an integrated, low cost solution does appeal.

The 5/8 thread bolt is standard in the GPS world. We will have plenty of bolts this size and can send you one. If you Google sccs who do Surveying equipment you might find a mag mount or other type system that will hold the Reach on a tractor for you.

Thank you PJ.

I have been struggling to find a bolt, but it was just actually finding the right place to look. I found a company who can sell me 2 x 1" SS bolts for a fiver... in the US

I will have a look at the sccs site and see if I can find a suitable system that is ready made that is robust enough for a tractor use.

Later: Great call... Some nice, but expensive kit on there! Think I will probably go for a simple mag mount, and fabricate a steel base plate for the tractors. (y) Put some sort of rubber anti-vibration pad in the plate mounting bracket.

Unfortunately the kit can be expensive but if you have the right bolt fairly easy to make up what you need
