580G quick hitch

Hello again

I recently bought a quick hitch for my 580g, manual with a bar in a hole. However it seems that the hole for the back pin is about 1/2-1" to far back to fit on the buckets I have - it hits on the frame of the quick hitch before it gets to the tab that moves backwards and forwards on the spring (if that makes any sense). The quick hitch is marked "580g" so I can't quite understand it. Just seems like the holes on the bucket brackets need to be an inch or two further backwards for it to work... Any ideas as to if I've just set it up wrong somehow? It looks like the front pin is sliding all the way into the slot it has, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Measure the pin to pin centres on your bucket and compare the measurements to the quick hitch. It could be a quick hitch to fit the Case but to lift other buckets such as JCB as they’re a much more common bucket and quick hitches are made to lift other buckets.

The buckets fit without a QH as the link is free floating so will fit any bucket with correct size pin and dipper width but breakout force and digging/crowd angle suffers due to geometry issues. I have JCB buckets that fit onto my Ford but as the pin centres are closer I suffer a lack of power when digging but have a lovely bucket full that can be tipped into a high trailer without loosing any material due to a better crowd angle.
