6 furrow Dowdeswel Dp1 help

Will I be able to pull a old 6 furrow DP1 behind a standard wheeled tractor (NH T7 210) on land without slipping into the furrow all the time.

I believe the DP1’s were made for tracked tractors?

As Rob h said above you need a double offset, as used on bigger cats. If you dont find any info on the web I can measure the beams on both of mine tommorow. Have used my double offset on a case magnum but couldn't use it on a john deere as it was too close to the mud guards for turnover.

Thanks very much , a measurement would be very handy if possible please [emoji106]

Interesting about not fitting the Deere , wonder if it be ok on our NHT7.210?

50 inch offset plus 12 inch furrow width is about as tight as I'd go on a big modern wheel tractor.

My wider offset dp1, measures 36" from beam to pin, as photo. Have used this behind mx270, cat d6, track marshall 155, but stood away from furrow and a fendt favorit, but doesnt go on deere with big plastic mud guards. Not sure if you can get a wider offset still, most were either single for track marshall or double for cat in early days. As already said, the wider the better to stop ending up in the furrow in less then perfect going.

Brilliant, thanks very much for the information, just what I needed too. Going to see it next week, I’ll keep you chaps informed.
