6 stud trailer wheels and tyres

Looking at a tandem axle trailer with 6 stud axles, can this travel at 50k, would only be upto 10 miles, are there other wheel/tyre options?

Pretty sure the brakes on a six stud axle will not be big enough for 50k, but if they are there are plenty of tyres on rims to suit.

They aren't usually much cop at 40k let alone 50k!

Could make the tractor brakes work really work hard. Even some quite late 8 stud trailers have a 20mph sticker on them.

Still haunted by the thought of them at silage time, cart two or three loads sort a puncture was how the day tended to go.
Super singles seemed a great invention at the time......

Heat may be a problem if they are 15 inch rims.we have 2 identical 10 toners.one on 12.5 .80.15 and anouther on 15.70.18. And only have 40k tractors the one on smaller wheels gets hot quickly don't know how well it would cope with more speed

Some cars are only 4 stud and do way more than 50K... you need twin line brakes anyway for 50k regardless of studs.
