Is the time coming to consider overhaul kits like the Americans ?
A couple of 6*30 s here mainly on stock work both would have ordinarily been gone but The experience of r series have put us off changing.

£30k i d hope for the 6430 or a bit more. Who knows.
Overhauling American high litreage is fine - 7920 8.1 litre. But every thing since is 6.8l not so sure.

That 6910 will outlive may others but 33k ouch.

Maybe so but this thread has been consistently about what I would consider low houred tractors. I am no expert but 7000-10000 hours would be long in the tooth where I come from.

Why then would longevity even be mentioned here if folk are changing in at 3500 or even 1750? Thats barely run in!

Ok so some brands wont warranty tractors at age so you either have to stump up and change or you keep it and feel content that even if it blew up tomorrow and cost 20K to fix you are still quids in.

I see the valid complaint about parts and labour prices but 350 quid for a sensing pin or 10K to have your autopowr to bits is small fry compared to the money you are otherwise paying out on finance each month or losing in depreciation.

Buy well specced kit, use it and look after it and sell it privately if you want top dollar then go and buy a Fendt.
