Just wondering if anybody else had problems with 6499 dynashift or similar where won’t rev above 1800 rpm, when running flat out still lacking power as soon as start to climb banks whether towing or just tractor alone has new fuel filter head and pump that’s cured the previous error code it had was hoping it would sort this problem too but clearly not any ideas what try next cheers

Start at the tank where it draws it from , then keep going to filters and to pump , take joints apart blow every thing clear ,then you know its getting it
electric lift pump ok 🤔

Yea I’ve looked at it all seems fine apart from this random de rate in revs, normally when the pump fails it’s a starting problem be allways found? Could it be engine ECU

It must be satisfied with the supply of fuel would be my thoughts, which could could mean the VP44 needs a look at. Unfortunately that means some downtime.

Have you asked @davedb
Some VP44 pumps have issues with chafing wires shorting and causing the engine to partially shut down. It happened twice to mine, the first with the pump sent off to be repaired but with exactly the same issue the second time, my dealer’s mechanic having more experience, found the wires and insulated them from each other and it’s been fine for 2000 hours since at minimal cost.

Exactly the same symptoms as mine. I’m not sure whether the wires were at the multiplug by the injector pump or inside the top cover of the pump. For a long time I believed it was under that square top cover but I’m not certain.
Your dealer may have service bulletins that cover this issue available in their AGCO portal.

Mention the Bosch VP44 pump gives me a nervous tick.

Have fitted 3 to my TM 190, they usually only last 4-5 years before the pump ECU packs up (either won‘t rev or won’t start). The wiring to pump is also very suspect on the TM and prone to cracking/insulation breaking down as it gets too hot. The pump is very sensitive to the changes in resistance as the wiring insulation breaks.

I‘ve replaced the multi plug on the pump, managed to source one from North America as Bosch won’t supply it. It made a big difference replacing the plug

Will it never go over 1800? Sitting stationary? On the PTO?
It will go over 1800 yeah but then randomly just drops back to 1800 then could stay like that all day or just kick back into full throttle for a hour or two and then back to 1800,even when revving full still looses power on hills

It will soon fall back further than 1800 and when it does, the remaining revs will not pull the skin off a rice pudding.
