There's a lot sold here. I'm told they're pretty reliable. A John Deere chap told me they gave less problems than the R's.
BUT I believe we still get tier 2 non Ad Blue engines on the m's here (perhaps not for much longer) while the R's are Ad Blue.

Sorry paul have to be old school jd , as 2 very good dealers and need spanner friendly tractors not , laptops ,and simple to drive ,
Going to buy two older tractors instead of one expensive ,
Answered your own question. Any JD under aboutr 12 years old will need the attention of a "laptop technician"at some point. Our local service manager says half the work he does on JD's under 10 years old is for software faults.

Won't go wrong with a 6430 but a good 6420 is better tho if you could find one with low hours .

No experience off the M series but the R are gutless things so an M without the mythical power boost will be pretty dull

And beet drilling ,a nice handy 64 would be ideal but find a clean low houred one ,where

If have several of them if I could. They seem to have the power to weight ratio better than the bigger ones.

We had to remap our 6430 to be as good as the 6420 was before it the 6420 was chipped to 125hp so the 30 series should've been as good but wouldn't touch it the 6430 is well overpowered I told the lad that came to it to give it another 10 to 15 hp max he made it 155 at the shaft before boost!!!!

Our 6430 and 20 before it would make a fool of our 6930s on trailer work I have had my kv es 100 5 furrow on it and it sails along the field but it's kinda torture on the linkage when up in the air

6610 here on 10.3m rolls nice match, put them on 6320 and you need half set of weights both tractors dualled up.
you will also miss the smooth ride of 6610 on any road work if you go to a 4 cylinder. seen picture but what do you think actually happened to 6610

If the man is OK then that is the main thing every thing else can be replaced
