My 6640 sl is stick in low box. Any tips on getting it back out? It sometimes would get stuck between 1234 but never had it jammed between ranges

Remove the grey cover around the bottom of linkage in the cab you may well see the linkage jammed all due to wear, remove the two pin's from the range change on the transmission cover that's the rear one of the two covers, you may have to dismantle the linkage and levers to free it don't go mad with crowbar!! if you do get it free check wear or movement on linkage it can be tightened but may need some new parts these were modified on later machines, when changing range or main gears make certain lever is in neutral before moving it sideways or it will happen again.................

Before you try this , take the rubber L shaped cover off near your right foot , this will reveal gear linkages.
Get a pry bar on the bottom of the linkage and jolt it free. A sharp jerk should be enough , done this several times, never had to dismantle linkage to free it yet.

In the cab or underneath?
