Loony? Deranged?

Or a sharp stick to remind us that men are mostly responsible for domestic and other abuses against women?

Certainly opened a debate but I do find it interesting that suddenly there are only two genders ...

I started another thread about similar.
They are doing their best to make genders less equal.

One option should also remove groups of pee'd up "hen do" women. How about banning unchaperoned men and women after 6pm?

Why not just ban single men? Government could keep the "top ten"; extract their semen; and supply women with high grade spunk and a lower ranked eunuch for companionship. Keep the best genetic bull calf men, and cull the worst performing heiffer calves.

I'm afraid the scenes in London yesterday achieve exactly the opposite to what the women intended, the sheer stupidity of so many in close quarters in the middle of a pandemic simply reinforces the view some men have that common sense has long left this planet. When will people realise that these protests or lecturing whether about men, race or god knows what have the complete opposite to the desired effect!

Most murdered women are killed by someone they know-usually their husband/partner

Most victims of domestic violence refuse to give evidence, meaning the police can't prosecute.
The police haven't 'prosecuted' since the CPS came in in the 80s; and the CPS can prosecute regardless of whether or not a victim wants to give evidence, either without evidence from the victim or treating them as a hostile witness. I've seen plenty of prosecutions succeed without a victim giving evidence, notably in cases of murder. (y)

Principle of innocence in the absence of proof of guilt, is at stake here.
100% correct; the moment any politico tells me that I can't go out solely on the basis of being male, I'll will go out and I'll be carrying a placard reading 'XYZ is an oppressive C^NT' - plus I'll have a case before the High Court / Supreme Court within the hour. It is no different to saying that there shouldn't be any black people on the streets on the basis of most knife crime being committed by black people, utterly ridiculous.

This is so typical of Britain to day though. The authorities for years have enacted knee-jerk regulations or rule changes as a result of a single isolated incident in arenas like health and safety, now the public consciousness is one of the same. This happened so we should make some ridiculous knee-jerk reaction to stop it.

Obviously this case is still on going but if the reports in the press are accurate, it strikes me as being a very unusual crime. Whilst chasing the rainbow to eliminate potential outcomes is great for organisations who rely on tax payer readies, it's probably impractical long term.

I know someone who works for Social Services. She says that 99 times out of 100 after the police remove an Abuser from the home, the woman will let them back in, even when there is a clear risk to their own children. Or totally ignore warnings that their new partner has previous convictions for violence or abuse, even if these convictions are against children.

These are not women who would have to flee the marital home and seek refuge elsewhere, they would just have to end their "relationship" with an abuser they have invited into their own home.[/QUOTE]

We have become a population that has a desperate need to be seen to be upset, not for the benefit of the victims of whatever injustice but purely to make us feel better about ourselves & more "worthy", what the generation that lived through our recent history make of these self indulgent prats anybody can guess!

I think this is missing the point somewhat, women aren't just complaining about the obvious cases of domestic abuse / violence. We're talking about how women are treated more generally and the things we have to do in order to protect ourselves from being victims, things we just accept as normal.

How often in your teens did a woman shove you against a wall and felt you up, against your wishes?
How often have you had your bum squeezed by coworkers?
How often in your 20's did a woman shove you against a wall and felt you up, against your wishes?
How often do you put up with comments about the shape of your body?
Did you walk home with keys between fingers and rape alarms to hand, just in case?
How often when walking home at night have you been approached, or grabbed, by a stranger and had to run away, scared.

These things have all happened to me, and I know I'm not an unusual case, just someone who grew up in a town, went to a large-ish school and went out to gigs and clubs in a city at night.
I don't consider what has happened to me makes me a victim, I think it's pretty standard treatment of women in our society.
I regularly make jokes about my large boobs, but I question now if actually that's my way of getting in there first to show firstly I'm confident about my body and secondly to make myself more 'one of the lads'.

I have a funny, clever, beautiful 6 year old daughter and it gives me chills to think of her going through half of this, and makes me really, really bloody angry.

It has to change. This is what the vigil was about, and why women are angry.

Not a population, there are just a relatively small number of extremely vocal perma-offended woke t wats.*

Nobody is condoning that , however I do know men who have been groped, the big difference men arent normally scared by it, there are also plenty of men who suffer physical abuse from.female partners, my ex was prone to lashing out, again she didnt frighten me, during our divorce she did it once too often and I restrained her,the next day I had a letter from her solicitor saying I was abusive to her, I said bring it on I had plenty of witnesses to show it was her at fault, most men like me say nothing some due to fear. The problem is SOME woman blame ALL men for all the forms of abuse and that makes the vast majority that arent very defensive and doesnt help.a genuine cause.
Who was it that said all men are potential rapists ? Not true. It's like saying all doctors are potential murderers due to the odd one that does.no one would dare say all black men are drug dealers or car thieves.
