7 legs to 5

We want to drop our 7 leg subsoiler to 5 whilst still maintaining tines behind the tractor wheels but also to widen the spacing between legs for less surface movement. Problem is then we can’t have a central tine as the gap beteeen the front 3 tines is to narrow. This is for 5 legs in a 3m frame.

Not sure what the problem is.
You will lift out the wheeling just as well with legs ether side of the wheel unless you are running shallow then you would be better with 7 legs

Our tramlines are deep in places and running either side with a leg historically doesn’t do anything for us. This work is mainly on stubbles lifting wheelings or sowing osr. The legs typically run at around 10-12 inches deep.

Without sounding flippant, I am not sure what answer we can provide.
You want 5 legs on 3 metres with a leg behind each tractor wheel but you want them equally spaced but with minimal disturbance?
If maths suggests this isn't possible you will have to compromise on one of your requirements.

How about changing the spacing on the tractor? Turn the dishes around?
