About 30 minutes away is the Crosskeys in Denholme between Hawick and Jedburgh, says parking at the rear, past it many times but never been in

About 3 miles as the crow flys in another pub, again the Crosskeys, no connection i think,

This one is rather posh, but has what you want, and is about 3 country miles away from the Ploughing site,

Last but by no mean least, is the aptly named the Plough Inn, it is in Town Yetholm, the nearest of them all and this is about a country mile from the site, but not sure about parking, maybe worth a call

Can it go ahead, bearing in mind that the Scottish has been cancelled, which should have been two weeks after the British
From what I can make out the cancellation of the Scottish isn’t so much to do with social distancing in a field it’s the financial problem if the match has to be called off at short notice as the Scottish does not have the financial reserves to withstand this happening! The host also wanted the championships to be a showpiece for Ayrshire and this couldn’t be guaranteed so I believe planning has started to get everything organised for Caithness next year and the Ayr site will hopefully be used at a later date.

Treated myself to a single occupancy Executive Doulble Room with king size bed. :)

Hope @MrNoo doesn't snore that loud as I have experienced that pleasure before when he has been in his tent before!

@Pennine Ploughing, last time I was anywhere that far north I was collecting a rather nice sleeper cab Mercedes 7.5T. Going to be a bit of a road trip, so decided on some luxury this time in a hotel.

Aye once you get to the top of Shap on M6, your still over 2 hours away, but click it into autopilot, and the wagon will find its own way 😉 🤣🤣🤣🤣
About the last time I seen you was in Devon, other end of England 🇬🇧
Don't embarrass Chris, he is only mimicking the sound of a fergy in his sleep 😴 😂

@Pennine Ploughing, the autopilot still works as it always wants to head back up north all the time.

Yes, we met up a few times. Once at the Forest of Arden match where I think you had a turbo issue with the new truck? Then more recently at the the Welsh match overlooking Raglan Castle.

Aye the turbo was expensive, and the Raglan match was a bit stoney as I remember,
