750a depth settings

hi,

going to drill osr with a new to me 750a, which depth setting do people use, i always prefer to put osr in the ground with other drills but no experience of this one.
as for coulter pressure how dors a bloke decide how much is enough and how much is too much?

thanks

Set the seeding depth to 25mm, normally the second slot on the quadrant with new discs, and don’t forget to compensate for thickness of the trash, which isn’t always easy. If you have a lot of trash it may pay to lower the seed boot into the bottom hole. It might also be necessary if you have some boot wear.
To check the correct coulter pressure start with the pressure gauge 3/4 of the green section of the gauge for direct drilling. Correct pressure is achieved when you can just force the gauge wheel to turn when it’s in work ie it doesn’t spin freely and neither is it so hard against the ground that you can’t move it at all.

Depending on disc wear, I try to place the seed 25mm deep which is usually position 2-3 on the gauge wheel.
As for opener pressure, I start at the bottom of the green (pressure gauge) and increase if needed to maintain depth across the field.
