Having calibrated a rate per ha can you then just change the rate per hectare e.g to suit another field or do you have to go through the calibration procedure again?

If you have calibrated it so that the drill meters either 1/10th or 1/20th of the target rate into the bucket on the first calibration then you can increase or decrease the seed rate by 50%.

So if we've done the full calibration process on 130kg/ha and want to move to 150kg for the next field, you're saying we can just enter the new rate without doing anything else? If so on which screen do we enter this new rate please?

There should be a + & - buttons on the second home page i think its G and H if you have a JD monitor that you can use to raise and lower rate on the move . I always drop the rate 6% after calibrating or else you run out ,not sure if its just our drill or all of them but i do the same thing with all our various electrically meted drills as they all seem to run fast.

1st step with a new drill is to check calibration distance of seed drive wheel. After that I use + & - % as suggested but you can set this step as a low figure to get nearer your target if you want.

We're using the tractor gps signal for distance so presume the seed drive wheel distance is then irrelevant. Will use +/- for rate changes on same seed. Thanks all.

p.s. If anyone's got photos of their ingenious methods of catching the seed conveniently when calibrating, we would welcome some ideas!
