750a mods

Not really. I had one of the adjuster arms snap the bottom part of its casting off. I also had a bolt snap whilst doing them up after replacing a disc...

The bolts do tend to work loose, I'd recommend tightening them up at least a couple of times a season as part of regular maintenance. If they do become loose you start to get wear between the T boot arm and the gauge wheel shaft.

Just a little one, I was setting the gauge wheel to the shallowest setting for grass seed and the guttler was fouling it. With a small piece of pipe I created a little clearance, a short length with a cut half through it so there is some pipe the other side of the stop to retain it.

Tim, did you take each boot off and prep them all off the drill or take the disc off like Clive has? As a note the old 2 piece boot vs the new 1 piece has the delivery tube more aft than the newer ones that are fwd of the attachment lugs.

Trevor's fert system looked to be a well made bit of kit, comparable in quality to the pro kit IMO.

Yes I removed each boot to fit the pipes.
I agree Trevor's fert system is top quality and reasonably priced compared to other systems, how is your system coming along?

Just waiting for the manifold and piping to turn up, will probably have to make some fert tubes as the boots are different between older and newer drills. Day job is getting the way!

I bought a hardi 300 let tank that I'm going to put on initially. Trevor's fert kit was set up and working on it, looked very good and well made. If I was a looking to buy then I'd be speaking with him first.

Just read the reply hence the edit.

if anyone is thinking of making their own liquid fert system then speak with either Trevor Tappin ( address on this thread) or Neil Challis ( Google).
Make use of the expertise out there.

Not exactly major pimping, but I've done the guttlers and weights, put an in line Pelleter on and changed tines on the covering Harrow.

That's all I've done to mine.

As an aside, my Dad has ordered the components to make some switch boxes for the Rotormeter. Basically it is a small electronic gizmo that enables you to plumb into the pulsed voltage for the drill motor to switch the Rotormeter on and off when the drill starts and stops seeding. The first one he made worked well but was just from components he had lying around. As one or two have asked for them I've told him to go into production so if anyone wants one please contact me.

Got 200 + acres done since finishing mods on my drill, happy everything is working correctly so happy to share now.
Guttlers with weights, weaving air bleeds, fert tubes from @TWBFarms, stocks turbojet from @chickens and wheat. Built the framework myself, painted for me by NRH Engineering, assisted with the fert system by Spraytrac Systems. Fert system running with a hydraulic pump as advised the electric pumps don't last long. Valtra running all three hydraulic services really well. 1200 lt Endurramax tank, blue for long life due to greater UV stability.
