How much extra do you think that gave you? We grow oats and can't get a ton in unless the hopper is bone dry, would like to be around the 1.5 ton of wheat ish

Drop Steven Shepherd an email, [email protected]

He made us a 50cm tall one. Have only drilled peas so far, gets a very easy 2t in all the time, I suspect you could just about squeeze 3t into an empty hopper if you didn't mind some shovelling!

We have found that when putting in two bags you need to come in from the side, so we fold up a wing to load over that each time.

Be interested to know how you get on with the rotor meter. I've had to change my original fitting position which there is a picture of earlier in this thread. Originally we mounted the Pelleter too low with too long a hose and although it blew pellets fine it blocked with micro granules. We've now hit on almost exactly what you have done by turning it around and going higher.

'Bugger', I'm feeling very left out, mine's just a standard drill, well apart from the gutters, weights and the usually stuff.
Looks like I'll just have to set to with the grinder and welder to come up to the standard of you guys.

I actually put it on in the summer, and it has worked fine with everything I have put through it and even has automatic on/off connected to the drills on/off thanks to @Simon Chiles dad who makes up the switches , I just didn't get around to spraying it up until the winter.

What's people's thoughts on the rotor meter on 750a. What products people putting through them, mostly slug pellets? Anyone put prilled urea through them OK?

I've put slug pellets and small seeds through ok. I ran into a problem with primary p micro fert not being able to be blown very far along a horizontal pipe. Have now changed the hopper position to get a fall on the pipe and shorten the distance. Hopefully it will work.

Can you not get an assister fan to blow it in to the venturi TB?
We have never had a problem with our Techneat Microcast version in that respect.

Yes you can, called air force I think. Hadn't considered techneat, as well built as stocks? I guess cheaper. What have you applied through it?

Have used Tech grade DAP, straight prilled Urea and slug pellets and also companion crop clover. No problems with any of them. Not sure what the 70 litre Microcast costs nowdays though.

Cheers, they do a big hopper also, around 250 L I think. Who deals techneat or is it direct? Well worth enquiring about.
