I think you'd be out the frying pan and into the fire there!! I only know of 1 round here and it likes a visit to the dealership regular it went for a service 3 weeks ago and is currently lying with it's gearbox separated from the rest of it . No idea what's up but the 1 man band owner driver says it's a good job it's still in warranty
My 260 has been alright apart from the rear axle casting breaking. Have never seen a invoice for that though.

@Fraserb would be well placed to judge both, as running both JD and CNH on same farm.

We find CNH more reliable, ran all JDs previously. Would still buy another JD with warranty though. Nicer machine to drive.

Deere is a nicer place to spend the day, nh are certainly as reliable as the deeres, I don't think there's much in them to be fair. Our nh 7.250 works hard a lot of the time and is near 8000 hrs with no major bills.

Of our current nh the 7.190 is the nicest to drive, had a hire t6 with dynamic command and that's a really nice gearbox.

I've asked you about it before but our t7 190 is a pig. It has no torque and engine just dies if put under any load. 15 plate t7 200 much better tractor.

Had both dynoed and not much difference on paper.

Could well be the case. One dealer refused to sell/quote us for a 190 as he said we would be disappointed with it. He was right. Will get it remapped when warranty out.
i got scr and egr delete and a remap on my t7.170, turned it into a completely different tractor, though it wasn't bad to start with tbh. still not a screwed to the balls TM though 😂

Ours is a 17 plate and goes well, it goes onto the second 4m combi drill and front press and is fairly decent, if it does bog down it doesn't recover like the 250 though.

I dont know if you ppl know but 6m and 6r air filter boxes are cheap crap and they leak and the engines pretty much slowly dust. Either the lids arent sealing and the outer filter blocks or filters slips up and blocks the inner filter only to suck dust around the inner seals. More apparent on R series or tier 4 engines has higher hp. Its bad.

Deere will SELL you a new box lid but feel its easier to blame customers installing filters incorrectly and slipping a new filter box sub part into stock then admitting there is a problem that can potentially cost lots. Its as bad as ive seen.

Goes to prove that Deere is the Apple of tractors. "It isn't a flaw, but we've updated this part not because its flawed, but because we wanted to". Always blame the end user, never admit anything. (y)

They dont think its there issue that they fitted junk plastic 150mm from the dpf filter which gets hot when doing a regen. Seems totally logical to slip the blame there.

We have a 2014 7280r and a 2017 7310. 7280 has been good, only issues are with the quick steering thing. Needs calibration every now and again. 7310 has had a couple of things. Pto stopped and stalled the tractor while mowing, turned out the clutch wasn’t put together properly in the factory. Also their was a fault with the battery loom, had an ad blue pump not long ago but other than that it’s been a good tractor. Won’t get a comfier and nicer tractor to drive in my opinion. We also have a puma 230 and the cabs and comfort in the jd’s are far superior

Ms were $750 per horsepower here when they came out. Now they are over 1k per hp. That use to be a selling point, bang for buck. Now i guess they see R not selling well(here) and Ms are so they are Jacking the price on them
I have just jumped off a 6195m that was $1k/hp with 1000hrs ex hire..... nice tractor but that's stretching.

Im really not that keen on the look of the new 7s and 8s, they look so gimicky now! Although the 8RX kind of gets away with it due to the smart looking track system. Its a good job MF came out with the even more gawdy 8S to take the conversation away from the appearance of the Deeres :ROFLMAO: ...................I much prefer the last 8R series they were grand machines, and the pick of the current Deere bunch has to be the 6250R, although they will probably get spoiled at the next makeover judging by the new 7s and 8s. Guess their will be a raft of new tractors coming out soon in the autumn.
