Tbh, it was knocking, but it also wasn't firing on all 4, so pretty difficult to say really.
Haven't tried the front pully, but that's never run true since I had it, it always wobbled from the day I unloaded it off the lorry.

it is the little end, crank looks ok thankfully

Might sound a bit daft, but have you tried the local CNH dealer for a rebuild kit??
