Hi there currently running a 8m Vaddy and a 6m ts evo for when wet.
With constant bg pressure late drilling looks likely to only become greater and although the vaderstad is awesome and will never leave, I’m thinking an 8m tineseeder would be a good step up?
What are my options?
The kv is good but only 6m , so 8m options are?
Weaving tine drill?
Weaving sabre tine? Unsure how good they are as a late tine drill? Won’t use it directly at this point?
Must be mounted and will be going on a John Deere crawler so strong, views on options and opinions would be welcome.
Ps we are on heavy clay , but it gets a full workout ( please don’t cast me out) .
Thanks in advance

Looked into this a little bit myself over the winter, Weaving used to make an 8m tine drill but according to there website they don't anymore, not sure why not but I guess lack of demand, so your either looking to find a rare 2nd hand one or ask Weaving to make you a 1 off. Not sure the Tine drill is built strong enough to go behind a big crawler anyway. Sabre tine would be better as built stronger but again no 8m version currently as far as I can see.
The only other 8m option I've seen is what I think was a one off machine Horsch made for @Tom H which I believe was an 8m tined toolbar with a front tank. There are not many options out there.

Ah ok , I’m sure for me a bespoke build will be out of the question , especially if it’s got a horsch sticker on it !
I didn’t think I was imagining a 8m weaving but wonder if it was strong enough?

6m Weaving Tine drills are very popular as you probably know but the 8m ones are very rare, not sure I've ever seen one for sale 2nd hand. The only other option I've just thought of and looked up is the mounted version of the Dale drill, I thought they only did upto a 6m but looking on there webpage it looks like they do make an 8m version:

the machine Tom had was a prototype that then spent sone time witn us - i belive the finished thing is now running in Janes Pecks farm

was ok but to be honest you can achieve almost the same with a old CO snd front hopper

Perhaps be as well looking for a wide spring tine like a Vaderstad NZ, crops established that way last autumn look as well as any.

Just ensure you're seed is either untreated or has a compatible label eg. Beret Gold.
