You won't get bonuses for better grades as well as the 40p tho...
As far as I understand you get given your grade let's say it's a u grade. (I know an Angus probably won't be) but you get your 5 or 10p then your 40p is calculated on the national average for u grade cattle. Down at st Merryn our o+ cattle generally get 55p premium or £180 as we are so far behind national average.

Well it's between 250kg and 350kg that where the bonus operates. An o- an above. An no 5s I think.

She wont get any premium for those angus heifers as they only pay upto 28 months ( or that's what it has been )

Its a fair premium for the ones that do qualify, it can easily be 40/50p a kilo thou you never really know until the cheque for the premium turns up a few weeks later.

I know plenty of people that put Angus thru ABP ( I don't as I don't have angus ) and I have never heard of this contract or them paying upto 30 months for Angus cattle ( the prem ) ...

The Angus I sent yesterday were just on a normal commercial beef.
We normally send then on the waitrose scheme which go up to dovecote, they just couldn't take them this time as they are full up.
