Made the above from a bit of conduit to take some soil samples. Should really be in the bodgers thread, I think I might copy it there as well!

I always thought steel and or galvanised samplers were a no no,because they could contaminate the samples.ss onlyo_O
Oops!! The spade I used last year wasn't stainless either. The college will think I am trying to grow grass on an ex-industrial site contaminated with zinc.

Have one here in ss a mate made, seen one lately with like the top of a funnel round it, so you don't have to keep hoking the soil out of it, just keep sampling then tip into a bucket. I plan to add one to ours.

These are pictures from 2003 of a trailer that I built. This instalment are of the initial chassis build. 5” channels for rails and cross members with plates welded into the channel periodically.

I kept the wood out the floor and the axle. Rest was scrap.

The axle was too narrow for the new trailer so I cut it and welded a bit into it.

I added a channel to the axle to strengthen and to make it easier to attach to the trailer.

Refurb of the brakes. They hadn’t been used in the last 25 years as they were not connected up! Therefore the shoes were fresh looking.

Fitting a drawbar stand. I made it do it could be turned upside down and fitted on top of the drawbar if there was more clearance needed under the drawbar.
