I agree staying in the tractor is the best policy when possible.Switch off if not in the seat many tractors have pto button on the mudgaurd

Yes i know of a chap who lost an arm to a baler as well.Know a guy who had a coming together with a shaft.

My dad's cousin went round a pto shaft years ago. Ripped his clothes off him, but he managed to crawl up the field back to the yard for help.
