It’s a nonsense, when asked to log in to track and trace today I waved my phone at the notice to keep the assistant happy. The app was deleted weeks ago having never been turned on and the phone was turned off anyway but she was happy. The proscribed process had been completed with no real regard to the product.Considering the NHS tech bods took about 20 years to get their revolutionary new computer system to work by which time is what out of date, I wouldn't have too much faith and it will not be on my phone.
I'm sure the great and good will now have you down as a murderer as they hide under the stairs. It’s a nonsense, when asked to log in to track and trace today I waved my phone at the notice to keep the assistant happy. Germany has a death rate of 1% of cases.
The UK has a death rate of 0.1%.
I will stick with the tin pot idiot! Really does make you wonder where the supposed scientist went wrong!!
If the big new idea is now herd immunity what is the point of people who have been pinged isolating, seems counter productive, we are told that hospital numbers should not rise but it would seem that now they are not quite so confident & are wavering! It’s a nonsense, when asked to log in to track and trace today I waved my phone at the notice to keep the assistant happy. Probably refers to Midsomer Norton where anyone with more than one ear is a cissy. As long as you don’t go to Midsomer you should be fine.
Have to agree with Ashdieback. The past 4 months folks could go on holibobs ( albeit UK ), go to pubs ( albeit not stand at the bar ). Folks have never been denied exercise, food and water. " Yoof " could communicate with each other via social media ( which they could not during WW2 ) What was wrong with the 6 per household limit ? what was wrong with the limit of nearest and dearest at weddings and funerals ? Some just can't wait to create a third wave. One mask per 10,000 at Wembley and Wimbledon. Don't get it. Vaccination doesn't seem to be the silver bullet folks thought it was going to be. The only tried and tested remedy is self isolation.
Where did swine flu go?The virus is never going away, so when should self isolation end?
Where did swine flu go?
So do you think we are wrong to vaccinate? plenty are against having it but a lot are going to regret that now that we are abandoning the precautions. It's going to spread like a cold now, most of us catch a cold so unless they never catch a cold they need to be worried.'International experts say ‘unethical experiment’ could allow vaccine-resistant variants to develop'
I assumed they were talking about giving experimental vaccines to billions of people.
You've got 35 million fully vaccinated.I don't see what other option we have but to unlock and get back to normal. We can carry on vaccinating but the immunocompromised will have to shelter. As I've said before there are other coronaviruses out there in circulation that infect humans and no one bats an eyelid and this current one will probably become part of the background noise as well. The headlines will change, the UK will have several thousand flu deaths this winter as is usual and life with continue as it always has.
At least the UK has vaccinated it's population, there is more chance of the virus turning out new variants in hugely populated countries where the numbers of vaccinated people is much much lower.
When experience shows infections can overcome antibiotics when they are not used properly with so much virus now spread everywhere & so many only partially protected by one jab it might be seen as an ideal breeding ground for a stronger variant. You've got 35 million fully vaccinated.
France has 28 million fully vaccinated.
You can't say either population is " vaccinated".

Macron got a right slagging on here for making sure that if you had your 1st jab your 2nd was waiting in a fridge. Which meant you had it on time , not an extended gap. Pfizer here is 3 weeks between jabs. UK is 5/6?When experience shows infections can overcome antibiotics when they are not used properly with so much virus now spread everywhere & so many only partially protected by one jab it might be seen as an ideal breeding ground for a stronger variant.
Might have been better to make sure those that wished to have the vaccine had both doses before opening the floodgates to the virus.

I agree to a certain extent. We've opened up some, but vaccine passport to do most things. What then is your suggestion? We live like moles and avoid any kind of social contact?
I think we should jab everyone who wants it right down to the age of 12. After that, I don't know what the plan is. A booster in with the flu vaccine sounds grand to me.
They found that AZ does need a longer gap. 8/12 weeks is more effective.I’m sure I read somewhere, a couple of days ago, that the vaccine is more effective where there has been a longer gap between jabs.
i didn’t read it properly, but remember chuckling and thinking it was likely a story put out to justify uk policy…
Antibiotics will not help you with a virus. Its an entirely different science. When experience shows infections can overcome antibiotics when they are not used properly with so much virus now spread everywhere & so many only partially protected by one jab it might be seen as an ideal breeding ground for a stronger variant.

Kids down to 12 cant consent so it will be up to their parents or legal guardians who may be morons. I say no.What then is your suggestion? We live like moles and avoid any kind of social contact?

I believe in choice and not persecuting those who disagree. So do you think we are wrong to vaccinate? plenty are against having it but a lot are going to regret that now that we are abandoning the precautions.
