EA dredged a dyke and took the clay lining out that was put in 370 years ago!

Basically the EA have dug through dykes out on the fens and gone through the 370 year old clay liner and gone through the peat underneath..

This isn’t a dyke, it’s The Hundred Foot river and drains most of the Fens, it was Vermuyden’s main scheme and is integral to the drainage of 300,000 acres

Sad but it could be true….

not sure but i reckon more likely is that they (EA) are ignorant and don't know what they are doing, poor workmanship etc.

Who actually did the work ? Was is EA staff or a contractor ?

They certainly didn’t use the contractor that did the Lugg last year, he did an incredible job!
