Aye, bird in the hand thing... at least you have a bit of grazing at the moment... Looking at my aftercut last week, I reckoned I could DD into the stubble with little competition. The seeds would not grow mind!!
Wondering on a root or a leaf crop?

Sprayed spring barley today, land that is infested with charlock USUALLY.
Hardly any charlock & some of it almost dieing with drought & finished off be flea beetles.
I think you can forget brassica fodder crops.
I think you want to give her a big kissI was going to spray off some grass for stubble turnips 2 weeks ago but the wife stopped me !! In 2 minds now but best we left it as it is considering
Yes , its right next to the canal , if only I could encourage the water to jump onto the fieldI think you want to give her a big kiss

I know it's not accurate, but no rain now on my forecast going up to 11th June.
@agricontract on bbc news? Olly harrison
Well done for putting your point across about dry weather very well on BBC news.
I don’t think I could live with the temptation

In my experience dry/warm April and May’s tend to lead into wet summers. You have been warned!!
As soon as I get the hay mower out the heavens will open.
