Irrigators really got going in the past 2-3 days locally, spuds and cereals mostly from what I have seen. Beet looks to have managed to get that big old taproot down and finding some moisture.

40% chance of 3mm... or a gnats tear drop

Up to 80% chance for Wed morning now.... I'm almost getting a little bit excited!!

Maybe enough to save the Spring crops.... dunno?

Looks like we’ve been luckier than a lot of people. 55.5mm in April, but only 2.25 in May. The driest May I’ve ever recorded, but not the driest month, April 2007 holds the record with just 0.25mm, followed by April 2011 with just 1mm. Both those years were followed by summers with ample rain ☔️
Over the years I’ve noticed that it’s possible to have a wet year with a severe drought at some point, and conversely, it’s possible to have a dry year with no drought.?
