Bit basic for the money imo.

Did you get the drawbar kit for it too?
Got the drawbar, but not they didn't have the wheels. Will see how we get on mounted and maybe upgrade at some pointDid you get the drawbar kit for it too?

I wait patiently for a good secondhand one at a sensible price.Seen the price of a non basic DD recently?
What price difference is it between this version and the U.K. built version ?
That's a far more sensible sized tractor for drilling .View attachment 902039
I have been watching this thread but its probably time to admit I bought one too , this is me at the farm gates just making sure I have actually got it strapped on, before I nervously head north .

Yup, me too!Neighbours must wonder....
A stream of dodgy looking twin cabs, rolling up with empty big trailers, and then leaving with green and shiny new toys on the trailers, and the old fellas cackling as they bounce off down the road!
I must admit I too stopped and rechecked the straps too, at teh same place!
I didnt realise there was a trailler option tbh, slightly different performing machine I 'm thinking and not just with the less weight on the linkage advantage....As did I....

if i don't ever have one it wont make a lot of odds on a World wide scale it will still keep spinning...As did I....

for me its a case of a low capital cost, or no machine ☺
On a Between 15 and 20 degree (no more) slope ( loam ) here the other day when the heavy thunder rain came after the long dry spell that we had, the area I've sown with redstart washed fairways down hill in a few places, the rivulits started from stone patches on the brow of the hill interestingly....If you are prepared to wait long enough, they will surely filter down after the various grant schemes have increased the numbers that have been sold. I suspect it will be a few years before anything secondhand is ‘cheap’ though.
That might never happen if new support schemes favour DD in the hunt for reducing carbon emissions. Every farm will need to have a direct drill parked up somewhere, so they can say they use one.

Makes me think some other option with some debris on top would've allowed it to gain momentum or wash as much fine soil as it did. Only thing is it was fodder beet area that was clean anyway, needed have been worked as much I guess but I wanted the seedlings to have a good chance against the flea beetle.
Hmm, yes thats a point, dd up and down might've had the same outcome..come to think about itWanted X-Slope direct drilling you think?
