A shocking waste

C'mon, credit where it's due. The decisions to go ahead and commit to significant funding for research and procurement has been well reported. You should be proud, not critical.

Trump stumped up much of the cash, even though it now looks unlikely that the US will ever approve the AZ vaccine for use. But British scientists were quick off the mark and did a great job, just unfortunate that Bozza was insistent that that a company with some UK links had to take it though stage 3 trials and into production despite having no experience in vaccines.

Well he got brexit done, and has redeemed himself with the vaccination roll out in my view. However without the great success of that, he was on thin ice, I agree.
Got Brexit done, good job there, I think that parts of the Union will be unified in there belief, that that is the last thing he has achieved.
I refer of course to Northern Ireland, that was the bit stumbling block which has never been resolved.

I suppose like all critics, who are never happy with the Government of the day, you should offer an alternative.

With the Unions sitting firmly on the shoulders of the Labour Party, how can they operate in such a sterile, regulated, policy and procedure world that is as dynamic as a contagious disease pandemic ?

Even though we made mistakes, we should be thankfull Bojo was happy to tear up the procedure book and get on with it. Our large Unionised Institutions have become ineffective due to rules, equal rights, policy, procedure and all the other dead weight dragging our services down.

Absolutely this. Much like the ongoing fiasco that is to be seen in much of mainland Europe.

Bozzas hair likeness in many respects to Trump’s hair, is matched by his bizarre taste in decor to Trumps bizarre taste in decor.
Political twins in many respects.

£30k ain't going to go far decorating an old place. Downing Street , so I've heard/ read somewhere was built somewhat on the cheap initially, with loads chucked at it over the decades to bring it up to modern standards. The tasteless wallpaper will still be there for the next inhabitant, so Boris has hardly trousered the dosh himself.
After what we've been through the last 12 months having lost 130,000 people, my eyebrows are raised by those whining about wallpaper. Says a lot about them and that sniffling little sh!t Starmer. The same Starmer that stopped Jimmy Saville being charged in 2009.

Which fiasco is this ?

Well several EU Countries going it alone despite the EU Joint Vaccination programme, or threatening restrictions on the Irish border due to an EU dispute with a vaccine supplier, Or administering way less vaccines than other developed Countries due to being to stingy on prices and slow to act, or alienating the AZ vaccine with self-defeating political rhetoric. Then of course the stupidity of bans on shellfish and rabies free certification from a Country that wiped it out a hundred years ago, to name a few.

We are just about to enter another round of discussions that will be met with belligerence and stupidity all to save face.

Good old equal EU, we are all in it together, until there are no seats, then the women can find their own, EU Commission President or not.....

If that is not a fiasco, what is ?

It's nothing to do with trousering money. The whole thing is about certain people buying influence and inside information.

So, what if they do or don't ?

That's the way politics works in the UK, always has, always will. Not as bad as most other Countries, but sadly, money buys influence, in all walks of life.

The story keeps momentum, as it's Starmer's life raft. if nothing happens, his will be the next name on the ex Labour Leader's list, as he has proved ineffective so far.

So you are saying that corruption is OK, so long as it's the Conservatives doing it?

Not at all, it stink's, but that's the way the game is played, and there is little you or I can do about it. If I was Bank's (Ukip) or Lansman (Momentum) and had a few million to waste on an ideal, then I would certainly try and influence getting the potholes filled locally.

The hypocrisy is what I find galling.

Its not about redecorating the public spaces , or repairing the fabric of the building. This is just about redecorating the flat above no. 11 oddly, since Tony and Gordon swapped places. The issue arose when Maggie moved in to discover that the kitchen was basically nothing but an old belling cooker, and she had to cook Denis’s dinner.
But the issue is not about the cost, or the Madam who demanded it. The issue is trying to extract a bung from some rich businessman who would obviously expect something in return.
I am certain that the Conservatives would have rightly been enraged if Tony Blair had been caught chasing such assistance, even if I am certain his circumstance were considerable more constrained than Boris’s.
Remember this was a guy , who till very recently was earning £500,000 for just one weekly column a week. Could he not have just put it on the card?

Tony Blair !!

The man that cost this Country Billions and many lives by taking us into a war based on lies, and he's still on the TV ??

......and Bojo has tried to get someone else to pay for the wallpaper (allegedly)

You could have picked a better comparison.......Do you not remember the " cash for honour's " scandal ?

Should have added followed by Brown who did bankrupt the Country.........

I rather think your comparison of costing billions and countless lives, I guess Boris beats him hands down😂😂😂
