I find it much more preferable if you could forecast rain BEFORE it arrives not after, now although the bbc have managed to incorrectly predict the weather every day for last week it's time you got your arses into gear do the job you're being overly paid to do.
If you don't know what the weathers going to do or simply don't care just say
For everyones info our forecast today was dry and cloudy the same as yesterday which was sunny and warm
Today it's pi55ed down all morning

rant over .

We started 3rd cut silage on the BBC weather forecast, warm dry week predicted. It's peeing now with 60 acres on the ground.
They are bloody hopeless

i like watching the forecasts change as the weather arrives! I think just lately they have swapped their models and charts for a good look out of the window?
It should be bbc weather thats happening. trade description stops it being a forecast surely.

There are some great weather apps for android smartphones and tablets. I use one app called Pro Rain alarm, which warns me when rain enters a radius area that I set up on the app.

Yes,Tuesday night and the web page early Wednesday morning on the BBC showed dry.

Wednesday morning it started raining here and surprise their forecast changes to rain.

We had quite a wet spell for about 2 hours.

Surely they could have predicted that as it was a monsoon that covered the whole of North Wales moving into the North West of England.

whatever the forecaster give they usually have to look at the general picture for the whole of the uk in the opening for a forecast this throws most people because each of use wants a forecast for their farm that is accurate for the next 6 months produce hourly
for my part of the uk
looking at the different weather models and out the window and 45 years of following the weather
my prediction for the next few weeks is that it will be dryer than the forecast
for a number of weeks now the 3 to 7 day forecast has given some rain events but by the time they arrive they are weak and insignificant this is now the case for the next week

in a wet time it gets wetter (2012) in a dry time it gets dryer

remember the above prediction is worth what you have paid for it:)

Many forecasts state precipitation risk as a % probablility. Use that instead & take a few risks.

If any of them were that good, they wouldn't be giving information out on the internet for free, would they?

You should not just look at one forecast, it is a moving target.

If you want to know the weather for a week ahead then keep checking and see if the forecast is getting "better" or "worse", this will give you a much better indication than taking one forecast as gospel.

Did anyone see the interview with Michael Fish in the build up to the storm of the century? He referred back to 1987 and said they could only forecast a day ahead but now with supercomputers predictions up to three days are possible. Where's me bit of seaweed?
