Yep I'd say a 525 donor combine,sat by a 6.354 in a combine v hot and noisy!!!!

Looks like an oil bath cleaner with the bottom missing so more likely a 500. Looks like they've changed the sump to a stressed cast one too.

525 has same aircleaner with removable bottom bowl just the element slots up inside the housing, crap design really as is the pre cleaner leaks it filled the entire thing up with water over time

drilled a small hole in the base of the bowl on our 525 for that exact reason

Still think it is 500/510/515. 525 didn't have that type of pre cleaner and its got a dynamo not an alternator

good point, and the top tube on my aircleaner is a solid tube, not a crimped together one

we have fitted the glass bowl pre cleaner as opposed to the normal "gauze" mushroom though, catches the worst of the dust before it gets to the dry element

Yes r6 inline pump so it's an early 6.354 perkins one of their finest products I recon

Yes upright pump driven off the jackshaft just like a meltham 885.

that is definetly an early type 6 354, almost certinly from a combine, looks identicial to the one in my 1200 n also one i fitted in digger, different sump of course as mf andy said

I wonder whether the rad was up to cooling that engine? But I suppose it would rarely have been up to full load in that tractor.

I would say 500 rather than 525 as hydraulic tank has square corners. Our 525 hyd tank looked more rounded. Looks like he has used the power steering system off MF500 combine.
